Cocoon Maldives - All Inclusive
Offering an outdoor pool, year-round outdoor pool and barbecue, Cocoon Maldives is located on the pristinely stunning island of Ookolhufinolhu in Lhaviyani Atoll. The resort has a private beach area and water sports facilities, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. The property is designed by Daniele Lago, chairman and designer of Lago.
All rooms are surrounded by green vegetation, clearly visible through the glass partitions that connect with the open-air bathrooms, which in itself creates a sense of connection with nature, in cool contrast with the expanse of the turquoise sea.
Lago Talking Furniture project powers interaction with the furniture, connecting to each guest's smartphone device through a wired chip in the furniture, to activate a direct interaction with the resort, to learn about themed evenings or indeed to share images and reviews of the experience.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS (excluded from room rates): Located at 122 away from Velana International Airport, the Cocoon Maldives is accessible with a 30-minute seaplane ride offering the mesmerizing birds-eye view of dotted islands of Maldives.
Seaplane Transfer charges: - Adult (above 16years): USD 435 per adult for a round-trip transfer - Children (between 2 – 15.99year): USD 260 per child for a round-trip transfer - Children (below 1.99year): On hotel compliments.
The seaplane transfer charge is inclusive of a luggage limit of 20Kg as checked luggage and hand luggage of 5Kg. Due to the aviation laws to operate seaplanes, every tourist arriving with international flights landing in the Maldives before 15:30hrs shall be transferred to the hotel via a seaplane on the same day of arrival. Clients landing arriving with flights landing after 15:30hrs may stay in a hotel closer to the airport and we shall arrange the seaplane transfer the following day. In order to organize a seamless transfer arrangement process and to avoid an unfortunate circumstance, the resort requests to provide the international flight details at least 07days prior to the arrival date.
A mandatory green tax of USD 6 per child per night will be charged.
MANDATORY GALA DINNER: As part of our festive celebration, a mandatory Gala Dinner supplement would be applicable for all the guests staying at the resort as below: 24th December: Mandatory Christmas Eve Gala Dinner: USD200 per adult and USD100 per child 31st December: Mandatory New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner: USD300 per adult and USD150 per child.

A great stay for vacation
- Absolutely fantastic facilities and design for both the hotel and our room! Very comfortable stay and excellent sea view in the room! - Can step into the sea and go snorkeling right at our room! There were a lot of sea animals around the reefs, and we even met lionfish, urchins, stingrays, eagle rays, moray eels when we were snorkeling. - A good variety of food was provided every day - some can be a good try.
- Be very careful when receiving any payment link even from the hotel's booking.com official account. We received a scam payment link sent from the hotel's booking.com account via email and keyed in everything already, but fortunately did not click the payment button. It is quite important to us if the hotel could take the necessary actions to ensure their guest information is safely maintained. - We did not receive any information about the seaplane schedule before we were waiting at the gate for seaplane boarding. We arrived at Male late in the evening and had to stay one night before taking the seaplane to the hotel the next day. We were surprised to learn that our host at Male received no info from the hotel (already at around 11.30 pm, and the seaplane transfer was scheduled at 5.30 am the next day), even though the hotel staff promised to advise the info to our host at Male. We eventually got the schedule info at midnight thanks to our host helping us to call the hotel. - We do value the opportunity to talk with the hotel manager during the stay about our holiday and comments, but it would be great if the meeting time and location could be more flexible. Not sure whether other guests experience the same, but it sounds a little bit weird to us (being asked to go to the Loabi Loabi Bar at 6.30 pm - the best time for ending water activities and enjoying the sunset right in our room).

Amazing place. Good organisation of transfers, check in/out, amazing personal assistant Munni who helped us a lot during our stay. Food is not of much variety, but tasty and everyone can find good options. We enjoyed our stay a lot and looking forward to come back.

Absolutely magnificent stay at Cocoon, the food was always very good and all the staff were amazing.
The style of the water villas is very sleek as well as practical.
